Club newcomer brings home Gold

Ben Williams recently made his debut for the club, and what a debut, as he comfortably won the Natterjack Seaside 10k at Southport on Sunday 28th September, knocking 1.46 off his personal best in the process.

Ben ran the distance in an awesome time of 33.20, well clear of runner up James Ashworth (Skelmersdale) in an event that attracted 835 competitors. Ben is currently being coached by Alun Vaughan and that partnership is certainly paying off.

Welcome to the club Ben and Well Done.

Cross Country this Saturday and beyond

Support your club by running in this weekend’s Cross Country fixture at Treborth, Bangor – Sat 4th.

The next fixture after that will be on Saturday 18th at St Davids College, a challenging XC venue.  Refreshments afterwards in the canteen – raising money for the school link project in Uganda.

Start times are always 2pm for ladies and 2.45pm for gents.

All XC’s are Free to enter !!!!!!!!!

And remember – regardless of how slow you might think you are you definitely do help the team by pushing back another team’s runner, so come on and join us and help the club to bring back the trophies this year.

See Cross Country page for other upcoming fixtures.  Transport will be put on in the form of a minibus (ideally this year not one that breaks down!).

Contact your XC Secretary Becki Law for more details.
