Trefriw Mill Race – Sat October 8th

Trefriw Mill Race – Saturday, October 8th 2016
The penultimate race in the WFRA North Wales Series is almost upon us. A rehash of a race last run 20 years ago (the older sweats will recall the Pedol Crafnant), this looks to be a fantastic route to be run. FRA Relays

Well the British Fell Relay Championships are almost upon us. It’s Scotland’s turn this year with the Event Centre at Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond, less than an hour north of Glasgow. Event day is Saturday 15th October start time 10am.

Details can be found here:

28 th Annual British Athletics Fell and Hill Running Relay Championships Saturday 15 th October 2016: Luss Hills on the Western shore of Loch Lomond

At this point we have 3 teams entered Men, Vet Men, and Ladies. We can always add teams if people are keen, so please don’t shout at me yet that we have only entered one ladies team!!

Each team requires 6 runners. Leg 1 is solo, Leg 2 in pairs, Leg 3 is a nav leg in pairs & Leg 4 solo.

We currently have 5 ladies, 4 Vet Men and hopefully 3 Men.

It’s a fantastic day to be a part of a team. Those who have taken part before or got involved in the Lee Mill relays will know how good they are! So if you want to take part give either Jenks or me a shout and we’ll get it sorted.

There will be a minibus going if required, if people want to go up on the Friday night we can sort accommodation too. According to the website an informal run is being planned for the Sunday morning so staying on afterwards may be an option too! A weekend of running in Scotland. You know what they say a change is as good as a rest!

We’d love to get three teams sorted and we are more than happy to take more if we can.

Let us know asap.

Remember, this is something for EVERYONE – as long as you are a full first claim member of Eryri Harriers (i.e. you don’t belong to another club as your ‘first claim’, ask me if you’re not sure), it is free of charge, just turn up in your vest and run. It’s a great club/team atmosphere to support, good for keeping fit over the winter and the more the merrier! All women sections plus Under 17 Men and Over 70 Men at 2-00pm (approx 5k). Under 20 Men, Senior Men and all Male Masters, 40-69, to follow at 2-45pm (approx 10k).
