Huge WELL DONE and GOOD LUCK to one of Eryri’s Annabelle McQueen who has been selected to run for Wales in the Home Countries Cross Country International this weekend – this is following a brilliant performance at the Welsh Schools National Cross Country championships last weekend where she came 8th – such fantastic news and we are all very proud – good luck and enjoy Annabelle, you deserve it!

6th Trail 6k – Portmeirion

9 Eryri Harriers were amongst the 145 finishers in the 6k trail race on Saturday 18th March. Eryri were led home by 7th placed Huw Owen 31:06 with Elliw Haf finishing 3rd female in a time of 33:53.

Arwel Lewis followed up his 2nd place finish in the Penrhyn Parkrun on Saturday 18th March with another 2nd place finish the following day at the tough Brynkinalt Estate 20km Trail race with a time of 90:17.
At the wet and muddy Penrhyn Parkrun, Arwel was followed in 3rd place by Brian Wills 20:27.

VALE OF CLWYD 10K – Sunday 19th March

Tammy Lewis-Jones was the first female finisher in 10th place overall in a time of 43:34 while Derek Weaver finished 8th & 1st MV/60 in a time of 40:59. A tough course made even tougher by the windy conditions! There were 57 finishers.

Despite the windy conditions, there were still some very good performances at the annual event which many runners use to prepare for the London Marathon. Of the 3114 finishers, Eryri’s Rob Samuel having run all the race distance while mainly pushing the pace with fellow Welshman Andy Davies (Stockport) had to be content with 4th place overall in a very good time of 67:40 just behind Andy 67:30. The race was won by Mohammad Abu-Raczeq (Altrincham) 66:25 ahead of Sale Harriers Matt Bond 66:31.
