It’s that time of year where the AGM is upon us and the opportunity to shape the future of the club presents itself.
For this year the AGM will be held at the Split Willow in Llanfairfechan on Tuesday 20th November at 7pm for 7.30pm and food is provided free of charge. We hope as many club members will be in attendance as possible.
As well as discussing club matters the committee for 2018/2019 will be elected. A number of current members are not standing for re-election and so we are looking for new members to join the committee and add their voice to how the club proceeds.

Please note that all roles will be voted for on the night so if you have any interest in any of the positions please get in touch with myself or any committee member and we will happily discuss things further.
The following roles are to be fully vacated at this years AGM and so we are definitely looking for new people to fill these positions:
Chairman – lead committee meetings, make decisions as and when required (Usually with committee approval), be the figurehead for the club when required (special events) (Stuart McDonald)
Vice-chairman – stand in if Chairman not available (Sioned Rowlands)
Cross country running secretary – mobilise runners for XC events, organise transport, organise (with lots of help!) an XC event on our patch (no event in 18/19 possibly one for 2019/20), report to committee meetings (Becki Law)
Fell running secretary – mobilise runners for events (particularly champs races and select teams for relays), organise transport, report to committee (Paul Jenkinson)
Firstly, let me say that committee meetings are not just a tea and biscuit fest and nor are they a borefest!! There are always items that require discussion and there a number of things that will continue to be developed over the coming year. Being a member of the committee is enjoyable and empowering as you know you are making decisions that hopefully have a positive impact on a number of people.
The current postholders are in brackets above so if you wish to have a discussion with them please don’t hesitate to contact them (I can facilitate this if required).
Please don’t assume that somebody will step forward, if you want to be a part of it please let us know. In an ideal world we will have candidates before the AGM so that we avoid the awkward moment where I ask if we have anyone to take a role on and everyone looks in the opposite direction!
