The Welsh Castles Relay is a world famous relay race from Caernarfon Castle to Cardiff Castle. The route is split into 20 stages with 65 teams fielding one runner on each stage. If you want to find out more, including the stages and route visit http://www.welshcastlesrelay.org.uk/.
Running cut-off times
• Each stage is between 8 and 13 miles long.
• There are some mountain stages which are particularly undulating, but all stages have an element of uphill and downhill sections.
• The race organisers have made a slight change to the cut off time this year. They ask that all runners on hilly/mountain stages are capable of maintaining 9 minute / miles.
