Oggie 8

8/8/15
An event for teams of four with a entry fee of £25 per team member, start time 7am from the teams Ogwen base, in aid of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation.
This is our 8th year of running this event, and we’re hoping that it will be extra special as it’s also OVMRO’s 50th Anniversary year!
The event is becoming a national institution and attracts teams from all over the country who wish to pit their strength, stamina and endurance against the eight Ogwen Valleys 3000ft Peaks!! It’s about like-minded people, having a great day of running or walking and to top it off there is the legendary after party with plenty of hearty food and drink.
More details available on the OVMR web site    http://www.ogwen-rescue.org.uk/oggie_8/index.php
Thanking you on behalf of OVMRO

Transfan

Transfan – Chris Jones from MDC has asked me to publicize this w/e.  He says: “We are running the Transfan weekend 19/20 Sept. We also have the hostel and space for camping in Llanddeusant booked out for a bit of a social afterwards – so this year will be a reverse run. All welcome to both parts so please spread the word in Eryri.  A very basic website here http://mdcwales.blogspot.co.uk/p/the-transfan.html  and someones Strava route here – https://www.strava.com/activities/226856566.”

The Fabian4 Dyffryn Conwy Mountain Challenge

The Fabian4 Dyffryn Conwy Mountain Challenge takes place on 13th Sept.  This is a non-profit making event with the proceeds being donated to the Snowdonia Society, whose work benefits us all.  This year, we are offering the Duathlon option (fell run & MTB leg), as well as the usual Triathlon which can be entered by teams of 3 or individuals.  There must be many handy mountain bikers in Eryri Harriers….! See http://www.map17events.org.uk/  for further details. We have a pool of people who are looking for extra team members.  Please support this exciting event, which is a huge, time-consuming undertaking for us organisers.
