Joe Brown midweek series – Round 4 – Aber
Problems with the bonding between the sheep and the lambs on the lower slopes following the snow meant we were not allowed in the valley, which necessitated  me finding a alternate course at short notice.
The response following the race was favourable, most probably suiting the road runners but still left a some good route choices for those in the Know. Nathan didn’t have it all his own way finishing only 14 sec ahead of John P,(also 1st 40) while Jake had another amazing run taking the U18 in 10th place with 34.44.
1st 50 was Steve ‘Martin’ Jones 13th, 1st 60  Phil Tan 33rd while Buckley’s  Pete Roberts heard about the tarmac and came along  to take the 70’s by over 4 minutes in 40th. In the ladies the defending champion Lisa finally took her 1st win of the series in 29th, Jill Riley the O40 80th, the O50 Ellie 52nd with Maggie the O60s.
# No race next week but Moel Y Gest the week after @ Porthmadog.  Remember to bring your race numbers with you.

Mike.
PS – have had feedback from some runners about the amount of dogs competing last night.  Apart from the fact most of the races are in sheep country they can pose a hazard to other runners so unless they are running for a medical reason please no more.  Thanks.
Here are the results from the first four races.
