ROB MAKES IT FOUR RACE WINS IN A ROW FOR ERYRI
19 Eryri Harriers were amongst the 381 Finishers in Sunday’s Borders League 5 mile event at Pensarn, Nr Abergele on a dry but, windy morning. Rob Samuel led the way for Eryri on his comeback race following his calf injury at the Caernarfon 10k race last August. Rob battled hard for the win in a very good time, considering the conditions of 25.46  Rob’s win made it four race wins in a row for Eryri in the Borders League following race wins for Matt Roberts at Caernarfon and Owen Roberts double success at Connahs Quay and Birkenhead Park. Well Done All. A special mention to those who also represented the club at the Shrewsbury XC League race the previous day.
In the overall team standings, Eryri’s men, with three races to go are still well placed for promotion, currently placed 2nd in Division Two with 2075pts ahead of Abergele 3567pts. Eryri’s women are currently placed 4th in Division Two with 576pts. Both Eryri’s men and women lead the way in the Improvers Trophy standings.
A change of venue for the next event on Sunday 15th March from Helsby to Wrexham for a 11.00am start.
