Russell Bentley held off club colleague Nathan Jones to win Friday evenings Marsh Tracks Rhyl 5k, and despite the inclement weather Russell won in a good time of 15:01 with Nathan close behind in 15:07. Full race results are not yet in with Ali Chant also competing finishing in a time over 18 minutes.
Rob Samuel will be hoping for better conditions in his forthcoming Marathon quest next month as he attempts to achieve the Commonwealth Games qualifying time of sub 2:18.  Competing in today’s Wilmslow Half Marathon, Rob ran a consistent race in the cold conditions, clocking 31:26 for 10k. 51:27 for 10miles to finish 5th overall in a time of 68:13. There were 3905 finishers.
Just down the road, Geraint Jones completed the Liverpool Half Marathon in a chip time of 1:47:06. There were 6770 finishers in the wind affected race won by Welshman Andy Davies (Maldwyn) 69:52.
On this side of the border! Six Eryri Harriers competed in the 5th fixture of the Borders Road Running League at Connahs Quay. In the undulating 4.3mile race which included a steep climb! run in all the seasons weather. Rain, hail, and to finish off, sunshine, as well as the wind! 
Yet again, Brendan Rothery led the way to finish 5th with the improving Ali Chant 46th, Arwel Lewis 63rd, Tony Woodall 74th, Don Williams (making a welcome return to road running following a 4 year absence due to injury) 177th, and 226th Iorwerth Roberts.
The next race is at a new venue/course at New Brighton on Sunday 6th April starting at 11am.
