Alun Vaughan in his first outing of the year won the North Wales Half Marathon title at Wrexham on Sunday 14th February in a time of 70:59 though he had to be content with 2nd place overall behind Tarus Elly (Salford) 70:36 with Andy Green (Warrington) 3rd – 71:10. Russell Bentley ran conservatively to finish 5th (2nd North Wales) 72:19 with: 18th Paul Wathan 77:58. 27th Dyfed Whiteside-Thomas 79:28 (PB). 43rd Martin Cliffe 81:17 (PB). 82nd (1st MV/55) Arwel Lewis 85:38. 166th (3rd North Wales) Gemma Morgans 93:06 and 325th Rhian Thomas 1:48:46.
Overall, a well organised event ran in dry and calm conditions with 545 finishers.
