Ben Nevis Race Accommodation
Message from Iain Ridgway:
"I've booked the BMC hut at Onich (on the A82 about 10 miles before Fort WIlliam) for Friday and Saturday night. It costs £5.50 / night. Contains mattresses, drying room, hot water, showers, electric cooking, fridge, cutlery, crockery, coal provided all the year round, electric heating in dormitories - £1 meter. Microwave in kitchen. Onich is 15 minutes from Fort William and a taxi will cost about £5 or so to get back in the evening. There's 16-18 beds, which are in 4 or 5 bedrooms if I remember correctly. I need to firm up numbers with the hut custodian, ASAP, so he can allow others to stay if we are not going to fill it. Tuesday night hill sprints
Hill sprints are usually just a winter thing. But when Mike's Tuesday night races are not on, people usually turn up for an evening run on the fells.
